How did you come to WKK?
In 2008, after the birth of my youngest daughter, I was still employed at Kaiser's Tengelmann AG and I was still on parental leave. Unfortunately, Kaiser's Tengelmann AG closed its headquarters in Viersen during this time and moved to Mülheim an der Ruhr. That was too far for me for a part-time job with two children, so I spontaneously looked around for an alternative. That's when I came across WKK close to where I live and after a conversation with Bram Boers I was able to start right away a week later. At that time, I was not directly in accounting, but first in purchasing, administration, etc.
How would you describe the working atmosphere at WKK?
The working atmosphere at WKK GmbH is very good. There is a family atmosphere and good coherence.
Established over 35 years ago, WKK has been a stable and trustworthy company ever since. what do you know about the story?
I've been with WKK GmbH for almost 15 years now and we've grown steadily ever since. There has been a lot of innovation and/or restructuring. When I got on, we were just a team of 15 people. Today there are already 36 and the number is constantly growing.
WKK organizes a weekend trip every year. Which one did you like best so far?
To this day, I remember the trip to Barcelona the most. We had a lot of fun and the bike tour through Barcelona in the best weather was a real highlight. I had to ride with a children’s bike though, because of my small size.
Which colleagues do you deal with the most?
I am mostly in contact with Marcel van den Dungen from the Netherlands. But I also work a lot with WKK Automotive GmbH (Anke Dimmer and Geert Driessen).
What do you like about your home region?
What I like about Kaldenkirchen is that it's pretty quiet. We live right next to the forest, I work locally and the Netherlands are only a stone's throw away.
