Polyamide 4.6 heat resistant

Polyamide 4.6 has nearly the same properties as polyamide 6.6, with the key difference being its higher operating temperature—up to 130 °C, with peak temperatures reaching as high as 150 °C. The mechanical properties of PA 4.6 are much less affected by heat compared to other polyamides.

Properties of polyamide 4.6

Polyamide 4.6 is a plastic material that is highly resistant to high temperatures. It can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from -40°C to +150°C. Additionally, this material is halogen-free and silicone-free and complies with REACH and RoHS regulations. It also meets the UL 94 V-2 flammability classification.

Cable ties made from polyamide 4.6 have a neutral color with a green-yellow hue. This type of cable tie is available in four variants, with lengths ranging from 100 to 370 millimeters.

Applications of polyamide 4.6

Cable ties made from polyamide 4.6 are used in nearly the same applications as standard cable ties made from polyamide 6.6. However, polyamide 4.6 ties are the better choice when there is a risk of exposure to extremely high temperatures—above 120 °C. This is often the case in heavy-duty industrial processes.
