Cable tie selections
In addition to standard cable ties, there is also a wide range of cable ties for specific applications. These cable ties are suitable for specialized uses or for use in specific conditions, such as extreme temperatures or environments where radiation may affect the performance of the cable tie.
Cable ties for specific applications include, for example, push mount cable ties for use in drilled holes on profiles, and cable ties with marker labels for easy identification of cable bundles.
Read more below about our different types of cable ties.
Heat resistant cable ties
Our range includes two types of heat resistant cable ties:
- WKK - Plastic cable ties - Heat resistant (up to 120 °C)
- WKK - Plastic cable ties - Resistant to higher temperatures (up to 130 °C)
Standard cable ties withstand temperatures up to 85 °C. When higher temperature resistance is required, it's best to choose one of the two options above.
Tefzel® cable ties
This type of cable tie is made from Tefzel®, the brand name for the material Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE). We offer two variants of Tefzel® cable ties:
- WKK - Plastic cable ties - Resistant to chemicals, radiation and extreme temperatures (up to 150 °C) - Tefzel®
- Ty-Rap® - Plastic cable ties - Stainless steel lock - Resistant to chemicals, radiation and extreme temperatures (up to 150 °C) - Tefzel®
Tefzel® cable ties are extremely suitable for use in the toughest conditions.
Polypropylene cable ties
Cable ties made from polypropylene are resistant to chemicals and also float on liquids. This makes them easy to remove from production processes, for example, if they fall into a chemical vat. We offer three types of polypropylene cable ties:
- WKK - Plastic cable ties - Resistant to chemicals - Floats on liquids – Polypropylene
- Ty-Rap® - Plastic cable ties - Stainless steel lock - Resistant to chemicals - Floats on liquids - UV-resistant – Polypropylene
- Ty-Rap® - Plastic cable ties with metal pigments - Stainless steel lock - Detectable - Polypropylene
Detectable cable ties
Detectable cable ties are widely used in environments where it is important that (parts of) the cable tie can be quickly detected and removed. The plastic of these cable ties is mixed with metal pigments, allowing them to be detected by a metal detector. In addition, these cable ties are blue in colour, making them easily noticeable in industries like food processing.
Stainless steel cable ties
Stainless steel cable ties are made from AISI 304 or AISI 316L. They are resistant to various conditions and offer good tensile strength. They can be supplied either coated or uncoated. The coating protects the cable against cutting damage from the tie.
Our range includes the following stainless steel cable tie variants:
