Heat shrink tubing selections
Our various types of heat shrink tubing have different properties. We've categorized our tubing by property, so you can easily see all options at a glance.
Different heat shrink tubing categories
The most important properties to consider when making the right choice:
- Heat shrink tubing with adhesive
- Heat shrink tubing without adhesive
- Halogen-free heat shrink tubing
- Transparent heat shrink tubing
- Printable heat shrink tubing
- Heat shrink tubing resistant to chemicals
- Medium-wall insulation tubing for busbars
- Heavy-wall insulation tubing for busbars
- Waterproof heat shrink tubing
- Heat shrink tubing on a roll
Heat shrink tubing with adhesive
Our range includes twelve types of heat shrink tubing with adhesive. This adhesive melts when the tubing is heated during shrinking, creating a waterproof seal. The adhesive layer can be integrated into the tubing in different ways.
Heat shrink tubing without adhesive
All heat shrink tubing without adhesive is grouped in one category. These include our other twenty tubing variants.
Halogen-free heat shrink tubing
Fourteen of our tubing types are halogen-free. The advantage is that little to no toxic substances are released in the case of the tubing catching fire and burning. As a result, halogen-free tubing is often used in environments where toxic gases (which can be released when halogen-containing tubing burns) could damage the surroundings.
Transparent heat shrink tubing
Ten of our tubing types are also available in transparent versions. Transparent tubing is used to keep cables or existing cable markings visible while still offering protection.
Printable heat shrink tubing
Printable tubing offers a convenient way to label tubing for identification purposes. Two variants of our H-2(Z) heat shrink tubing are printable: the 2PF and the 3PF.
Heat shrink tubing resistant to chemicals
We offer three types of tubing that are resistant to various types of chemicals:
Medium-wall insulation tubing for busbars
Insulation tubing for busbars is used to protect busbars (copper strips that conduct electricity in distribution systems), offering resistance to creepage current. This tubing also provides flame-retardant and self-extinguishing properties.
This medium-wall variant has a post-shrink wall thickness between 2 and 2.8 millimeters.
Heavy-wall insulation tubing for busbars
This type of tubing has the same properties and applications as the medium-wall variant for busbars.
The heavy-wall version has a post-shrink wall thickness between 3.9 and 4.1 millimeters.
Waterproof heat shrink tubing
Our waterproof tubing offers excellent sealing properties. Because it contains an adhesive that melts during shrinking, it provides full protection against dust and moisture.
Heat shrink tubing on a roll
If you need larger quantities of tubing, heat shrink tubing on a roll is a great solution. We offer it in lengths ranging from 15 to 150 meters, giving you plenty of material without taking up much space.
