PVC tapes
PVC tape is a self-adhesive insulating tape with a rubber adhesive, used for electrical insulation and protective applications. This tape is, among other things, flame-retardant. The combination of PVC material and the adhesive layer makes it suitable for bundling, identifying, or finishing cables and wiring.
Different types of PVC tape
Our assortment offers PVC tapes in multiple widths (15 mm, 19 mm, and 50 mm) and in various colors. Thanks to this variety, you can easily choose the correct size and color code to match your application or installation requirements.
Applications
PVC tape is used for electrical insulation of wires and cables, bundling or marking cable groups, and neatly finishing installations. This makes it a versatile solution in both industrial and utility installations.
Properties
Important properties of this PVC tape include its flame-retardant design, temperature resistance (up to approx. +80 °C), and reliable adhesive strength thanks to the rubber adhesive layer. Additionally, the film is relatively thin (about 0.15 mm), providing flexible application without adding unnecessary volume.
Color variants and meaning
Our PVC tape is available in colors such as black, blue, yellow, green, red, white, and yellow/green (earth conductor). The color choice can be functional: for example, yellow/green for the earth conductor or red/blue for phase identification, helping with organization and safety in cable and electrical systems.
Installation
When installing PVC tape, first choose the correct width suitable for the cable diameter or bundle. Start on a clean, dry surface and wrap tightly around the cable or bundle with sufficient overlap to ensure proper adhesion. As WKK tape is designed for insulation and fire protection, professional installation ensures maximum performance and lifespan.
