Orange heat shrink tubing
Heat shrink tubing is a versatile product available in various types, and colors. Each variant has unique properties and applications. One of the popular colors is orange, which is particularly suitable for marking and protecting cables. In our range, you’ll find one type of shrink tubing available in orange.
Which types of orange heat shrink tubing are available?
In our range, we have only one type of heat shrink tubing available in orange: H-2(Z) thin wall heat shrink tubing. The H-2(Z) has a 2:1 shrink ratio.
The H-2(Z) is available in orange in 26 variants (different lengths, shapes, and sizes), ensuring there is always a suitable solution for your project.
Differences between variants of orange shrink tubing
Choosing the right heat shrink tubing can be challenging due to the many designs and possibilities. The main differences are:
- Packaging type – Length piece or minibox
- Shape – Flat or round
Shape
Our orange heat shrink tubing is available in two shapes: flat and round. Essentially, they are the same, except that flat shrink tubing is compressed, which gives it a fold and prevents it from being open by default. Round heat shrink tubing is often chosen when the tubing is processed by a machine. Additionally, round heat shrink tubing cannot be printed, whereas flat heat shrink tubing can be printed. Finally, flat heat shrink tubing takes up less space, allowing more meters to fit in a box or on a roll compared to the round version.
Wall thickness
All orange heat shrink tubing in our range is thin-walled, with a wall thickness of 0.4 to 0.8 millimeters before shrinking. This makes thin-wall shrink tubing flexible and easy to apply, ideal for applications where cables need to remain flexible.
Applications of orange heat shrink tubing
Orange heat shrink tubing is often used to mark cables and cable bundles. By distinguishing cables with different colors, you can easily identify them. Additionally, orange heat shrink tubing is used to change the color of a cable, for example, from black to orange, which can be useful in situations where color coding is important.
