Cable ties for universal use

All types of universal cable ties are made from polyamide 6.6, which makes them halogen-free and silicone-free. They all meet the UL 94 V-2 flammability rating.

However, there are some differences between the different types of cable ties. Read more below about the specific features of our cable ties by brand.

WKK is our own brand of cable ties. The universal cable ties specifically have an operating temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C. They feature a plastic locking barb and comply with Reach, RoHS, CE, and UL E537734 standards.

Ty-Rap® is an ABB brand, and its name has become a generic term in the Netherlands for cable ties (“tyraps”). The main differences compared to our WKK cable ties are their appearance (Ty-Rap® ties have a more rounded head) and the locking barb: WKK uses a plastic locking barb, while Ty-Rap® uses a stainless steel one.

They can withstand temperatures ranging from -60 °C to +85 °C. The black variant is resistant to temperatures up to +105 °C.

Ty-Fast® is also an ABB brand. In all aspects, they resemble our WKK cable ties: they are resistant to temperatures between -40 °C and +85 °C and have a plastic locking barb.

They are priced more competitively than Ty-Rap® cable ties.

Universal cable ties are suitable for use in most applications, especially indoors. They can also be used outdoors, but in that case, it is recommended to choose the black variant—this version is UV-resistant.
