Polyamide 6.6 heat resistant

Heat-resistant polyamide 6.6 has the same properties as standard polyamide 6.6, with one key difference: it has a higher operating temperature (up to 120°C). These cable ties are only available in black and natural. The black version is UV-resistant and therefore suitable for outdoor use. The natural version is more suited for indoor applications.

Properties of heat-resistant polyamide 6.6

Our heat-resistant cable ties are made of heat-resistant polyamide 6.6, making them more resistant to high temperatures than standard polyamide 6.6 cable ties. They can withstand temperatures up to 120 °C, with a minimum operating temperature of -40 °C.

Heat-resistant polyamide 6.6 is free from halogens and silicones and meets flammability classification UL 94 V-2. Additionally, these cable ties comply with REACH and RoHS standards.

Heat-resistant polyamide 6.6 cable ties are available in black and natural. The natural version has a greenish hue. The black variant is UV-resistant.

Applications of heat-resistant polyamide 6.6

Heat-resistant polyamide 6.6 cable ties are mainly used in environments where temperatures may rise, but chemical resistance is not required — such as industrial settings.

Alternatives to heat-resistant polyamide 6.6

There are several alternatives to heat-resistant polyamide 6.6 cable ties that can withstand similar or even higher temperatures.

Heat-resistant polyamide 4.6

Cable ties made of heat-resistant polyamide 4.6 can withstand peak temperatures up to 150°C. These are the logical "next step" when heat-resistant polyamide 6.6 is no longer sufficient.

Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE

Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE), also known as Tefzel®, was introduced by DuPont under this brand name in 1972. Tefzel® offers excellent resistance to temperatures up to 170°C. It is also resistant to chemicals, provides excellent mechanical strength, and is suitable for the most extreme applications.
