Polyamide 6.6
Polyamide 6.6, also known as nylon 6.6, is the most commonly used type of plastic for the production of cable ties. As a result, most cable ties intended for ‘general’ use are made from polyamide 6.6.
Properties of polyamide 6.6
Due to its versatility, polyamide 6.6 is widely used for cable ties. It is resistant to temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C and is both halogen-free and silicone-free. Additionally, polyamide 6.6 has good resistance to greases, oils, and cleaning agents. It complies with flammability rating UL 94 V-2.
Black cable ties made from polyamide 6.6 are UV resistant.
Types of polyamide 6.6 cable ties
