Printing heat shrink tubing

Printing heat shrink tubing: a service that WKK offers and that is enjoyed by a lot of our customers; especially by companies that want to have their logo printed onto pieces or reels of heat shrink tubing. Printing heat shrink tubing: how does it work?

The process to print heat shrink tubing can be summarised as the following:

1. First, we determine if the type of heat shrink tubing that is requested to be printed, can be printed in accordance with our quality standards.
2. You send us the logo / image that you want to have printed on the heat shrink tubing, preferably as a vector file. We will then make sure that the file can be used with our printer. Other file types are possible as well, such as jpeg and ai files.
3. We make a test print, so that you can judge if the print meets your expectations.
4. If the test print is agreed on, we print the full order and deliver the order to you.

Direct contact with you, the customer, is important in this process, because the end result has to meet your expectations.

Which types of heat shrink tubing can be printed?

Two types of heat shrink tubing can be printed: the H-2(Z) 2PF and the H-2(Z) 3PF, which are both thin-walled heat shrink tubing. Both of these types are available in the colours yellow and white, and both of these colours can be printed. The H-2(Z) 3PF is also available in black, upon request. The print can be done in the colours black and white.

Some other types of heat shrink tubing can be printed, by our supplier. The delivery time is then often longer. Contact us for more information.

We cannot print on all sizes – the minimal heat shrink tubing width that we can print is 3,2 millimetres, the widest heat shrink tubing that we can print is 38,1 millimetres. Heat shrink tubing in larger sizes can unfortunately not be printed.

The print

Companies often choose to have their brand or company logo printed on heat shrink tubing, sometimes in combination with a line of text. This text can be printed in a width of 60 millimetres – depending on the width of the heat shrink tubing. The print is water resistant.

During printing, we can cut the heat shrink tubing in length pieces, or fully print the reel without cutting it in pieces – it’s up to you!
