Heat resistant cable ties
Standard cable ties are not always suitable for every situation. For example, when a cable tie is exposed to temperatures above 100 °C, there is a risk that it will dry out and lose its strength.
In such cases, heat-resistant cable ties offer the solution. By using different raw materials and types of plastic, these cable ties are better able to withstand high temperatures. This makes them safe for use in environments where cable ties are exposed to high(er) temperatures.
Types of heat-resistant cable ties
Our range includes two types of heat-resistant cable ties — both from our own brand, WKK:
Properties of heat-resistant cable ties
Each of the two types listed above has specific properties. Read more about them below.
WKK – Plastic cable ties – Heat-resistant (up to 120 °C)
These cable ties are made from polyamide 6.6 and can withstand temperatures up to 120 °C. They comply with flammability rating UL 94 V-2 and are free from halogens and silicones.
They are available in two colours: black and natural. The black ties are UV-resistant and come in 22 sizes. The natural ties have a greenish tint and are available in 25 sizes.
WKK – Plastic cable ties – Resistant to extreme temperatures (up to 150 °C)
These cable ties are made from heat-resistant polyamide 4.6, allowing them to withstand temperatures up to 150 °C. They are only available in the colour natural, with a green-yellow hue.
They are available in four variants, with widths ranging from 2.5 to 4.8 mm and lengths from 100 to 370 mm.
