Name: Bram Willemse
Position: IT Manager
Branch: WKK Group
How did you end up at WKK, and why did you ultimately choose WKK?
WKK crossed my path when I was hired through my previous Microsoft partner for specific assignments related to Microsoft Dynamics. When the opportunity arose to work directly at WKK, I saw this as an ideal chance to leverage my expertise in optimizing ERP systems and my technical background, and to contribute to WKK’s technological growth and market position.
What challenges do you encounter as an IT manager at an international B2B organization?
Managing IT within an internationally operating organization like WKK requires a strategic balance between standardization and local flexibility. This means working with scalable IT solutions that not only meet strict security and compliance requirements but also support our branches and teams worldwide. My focus is on fully utilizing Microsoft solutions, with security and data integrity as top priorities. Our customers rely on a reliable and continuous operation of our IT environment.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of your job?
I enjoy solving technical challenges and supporting our branches in utilizing IT as a strategic tool. It gives me satisfaction to see how an IT solution improves efficiency and makes the work of colleagues and customers easier.
When do you go home satisfied?
When I see that IT has contributed to an improvement in digital transformation, business processes, or when we have collectively achieved a milestone. My goal is to proactively help our branches respond to new IT developments, and I find satisfaction when the impact of these changes becomes visible in our daily operations.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I see myself in a strategic leadership role, where I am not only responsible for technological innovations but also actively contribute to shaping the IT strategy. My ambition is to make a greater impact by combining my technical expertise with broader skills and to support the organization in achieving its goals in terms of digitization, efficiency, and customer-oriented solutions. I want to bridge the gap between IT and the business, and optimally support our branches to get the most out of their capabilities.
