Green cable ties
In our range of cable ties, you will find a wide variety of colors. One of these colors is green. We offer different types of green cable ties – read more about these types here. Their properties, which types they are, and the brands they are available from.
Types of green cable ties
Three of our types of cable ties are available in green:
Properties of green cable ties
The properties of our green cable ties vary by type. These specific properties are outlined below for each type.
WKK plastic cable ties – For universal use
The regular green WKK plastic cable ties are made of polyamide 6.6. They are resistant to temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C and are suitable for most everyday applications. They are halogen and silicone-free. Finally, they meet flammability class UL 94 V-2.
WKK polypropylene cable ties
Green WKK polypropylene cable ties are, as the name suggests, made of polypropylene. This material is resistant to chemicals and also floats. As a result, this type of cable tie is widely used in the chemical industry. They have a temperature range from -20°C to +75°C. They meet flammability class UL 94 HB and are halogen and silicone-free.
Ty-Rap® plastic cable ties
Green cable ties from the brand Ty-Rap® are made of polyamide 6.6, just like regular WKK cable ties. They are resistant to a slightly wider temperature range, from -60°C to +85°C. They are halogen and silicone-free and also meet flammability class UL 94 V-2. Unlike WKK cable ties, which have a plastic locking tongue, Ty-Rap® cable ties have a stainless steel locking tongue.
Brands of green cable ties
In our range, we offer green cable ties from two brands: our own brand WKK and Ty-Rap®. Ty-Rap® is a brand of ABB and was the first cable tie on the market.
The main difference between WKK and Ty-Rap® cable ties is the material used for the locking tongue in the head of the cable ties. In WKK cable ties, this locking tongue is made of plastic. In Ty-Rap® cable ties, it is made of stainless steel.
